Eating our way through Fort Point Channel

During the holiday break G and I decided to explore the newly developing Fort Point Channel area.  With the new convention center and the Institute of Contemporary Art there is significant new development and therefore, lots of new places to try.

We had a late lunch at the Legal Test Kitchen (LTK).  It is an offshoot of the Legal Sea Foods which also focuses on fresh sea food.  The menu at LTK is slightly more ‘sophisticated’ than that at Legal Sea Foods.  The dishes are inspired by flavors from around the world including a Thai Shrimp Fried Rice and Tandoori Grilled Atlantic Salmon.  We were looking for a light lunch so we opted to share a cup of the special seafood bisque and the special seafood roll both which had a combination of seafood including shrimp and lobster.  The bisque was delicious though it wasn’t the traditional bisque I was expecting.  It had a rich creamy texture but an unexpected slightly tangy taste.  The seafood roll was lovely filled with lots of seafood which was perfectly dressed.
