Farewell Tour

Over the eight years that we have lived in Cambridge, we have developed so many favorite places and in some cases specific dishes.  During the last couple of months in town we tried to enjoy as many of these locations and dishes as our stomachs (and waistlines!) could handle.  Instead of going into detail, below I list the places we returned to our favorite dish that we visited for in particular (in no specific order).

Davis Square/ North Camrbidge
Burren
– curry fries

Gargoyles –love to sit in the bar and enjoy the creative dishes and changing menu

Red Bones – everything pork

Anna’s Taqeria – tacos al pastor

Hana Sushi – our local sushi joint

Qing Dao – typically the delicate pork and leek dumplings but this time case they were sub par with thick skin, not sure what happened

Dave’s Fresh Pasta – everything

Mr. Crepes – Nutella crepe

Sofra – lamb shawarma

Gran Gusto – anything with truffles

Harvard Square

Chez Henri
– cubano

Tanjore – our favorite Indian restaurant in the Boston area

Spice – crispy basil chicken

Inman Square

Hungry Mother – shrimp and grits (unfortunately they were not on the summer menu)

Helmand – any lamb dish

Boston/Elsewhere

Lala Rokh – any lamb dish

The Lobster Pool – lobster roll

Athans Bakery – everything

Zen Sushi – volcano roll

Oishii Sushi – just the best sushi in Boston

Hi Rise Bakery – everything

Unfortunately, we ran out of meals and missed a few places that we would have liked to return to.  But, these are on top of our list for visits back to Boston!

Upper Crust – the best pizza in Boston!

Cambridge 1 – potato pizza with chili oil

Toro – Maíz Asado con Alioli y Queso Cotija

Publick House – moules frites

We really enjoyed some great gems in our area of Davis Square.  We are looking forward to finding our favorites and must-return-to-for… places here in the Triangle.
