So, back when G and I were in Colorado we would try a new restaurant on Tuesdays, cleverly we called it ‘New Restaurant Tuesdays.’ The idea was that once or twice a month we would try a new place but focus on smaller more hole-in-the-wall types of places that we wouldn’t get to otherwise.  After a long almost 10 year lag we decided to revive this tradition this past January. With a group of about 7 or 8 of our friends we try a new place the third Tuesday of every month. I maintain a list of places we want to try based on everyone’s input and then we take a vote each month on where to go. The rules are simple: the restaurant must be new (untried) by the majority of the group and the price range should be less than $40 per person for food and drink (we aim for lower). We also try to check out new neighborhoods each month. So far we have tried the The Publick House in Brookline, Zen Sushi in Government Center, Vee Vee in JP, and Taberna de Haro in Brookline. So far, it has been a great opportunity to try new places and, of course, it is a wonderful excuse to meet up with good friends!
